I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Breakthrough T1D (London, England) in Dec 2015
Interview
I was invited to a first stage interview, and asked competency based questions. Everything was as you would expect for an office based role. There was no test or exercise. I was advised at this stage there may be a 2nd round.
I was then invited to a 2nd round to meet with the CEO. This was more informal, and a general conversation about the organisation
I would describe the process overall as fairly typical, expect when it came to informing me of the outcome. This was done over email, which I found disappointing given I had attended 2 interviews. I then followed up asking for feedback, and got no response. Even a polite but unhelpful "we went with someone who had more experience" would have been preferable to silence.

Question 1
How would I feel about operating in an organisation that was smaller than I had recently been working with.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Breakthrough T1D (New York, NY) in Apr 2012
Interview
I applied online directly to the JDRF and got a phone call almost immediately. Spent about 40 minutes talking to the recruiter. She set me up with a call with one of the hiring managers. The hiring manager was almost 15 minutes late calling with little apology. That call lasted around an hour. I then received an email from some random company with a link to a personality test – this test was not mentioned in either interview – pretty bad form in my opinion. I spent about 40 minutes completing the test. Followed up with the recruiter and got no response. It’s pretty obvious at this point that I didn’t get the job but they could at the very least have the professional courtesy to let me know. A two line email doesn’t take much effort. So overall I don’t have a good impression and will likely not apply to them again.
