Interview
Had a quick 5 minute phone interview where they wanted to know more background information about me & where I have worked/what age groups/why I resigned from my previous job.
Set me up for an interview and it was in a room with the director + lead teacher of the preschool room (which is the room I wanted to work in) and then read question after question off the list, without giving me any type of feed back. Once I was done answering one question, they started to read the next one. No time in between whatsoever or anything. It was so robotic.
After that, I had an observation interview where I went into the room to interact with the children. Lead teacher had to leave shortly after and director was not in the room so I'm not sure who was even watching me. Was told that the director would come get me, which was great because I had all the kids by my side and would love to have her see how I was with them. But she never came. In fact, I stayed 30 minutes longer than I was supposed to and then I had to go find her. She said, "Oh you're done already?" ... And then proceeded to tell me that other candidates are going to be doing interviews for this position and that she'll contact me next week.
It's not next week yet so I'm not sure how it went.

Interview process is very organized, efficient and easy. They ask for examples and scenarios so be ready to provide these. They discuss day to day and go over your skills
Standard questions about experience and childcare philosophy. One interview with director and assistant director, questions in office and then a 30 minute working interview took place in the classroom. It was about a week before the offer was made.

Fairly simple, they have a list of questions that must be answered as it’s a corporate childcare setting. Basic preschool teacher questions. Things like how to handle biting, classroom management, customer service, etc.
