I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Build-A-Bear (Philadelphia, PA) in Jun 2009
Interview
So for starters, fill out an application online. Make sure to attach a resume because it makes it very very simple to be done with the app. Next, if they have not contacted you, call them within four days of sending your app and request to speak to a manager (all the managers are usually apart of the hiring process). Be nice, cordial, and super friendly with a touch of energetic. They are attractive to happy, smiley, and out going people. Also be classy and choose your words carefully. The interview itself is also unique. Depending on the location, they could ask you anything (because not all Build a Bears ask the same interview questions). It ranges from "How would you make guest (what they call costumers) connections?" to "What kind of animal would you be?" Be calm and patient. Smile often and answer effectively. If you have to, tweak your answers to best fit their wants. They want out going people so always center your answers on how you communicate with people you don't know.

I applied online. I interviewed at Build-A-Bear (Las Vegas, NV) in Sep 2023
Interview
The interview was quick and easy, mainly personality-based questions. I applied online through their official website and received an on-the-spot interview call three days later (short and straightforward). Afterward, the hiring manager asked me to visit the store in person to complete a survey, and I was offered the position.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Build-A-Bear (Lynwood Center, WA) in Jan 2018
Interview
I applied online, and I didn’t receive a call until about a month later, but when i did I was invited to a group interview. At the group interview, the district manager and store manager interviewed myself and 3 other girls. They sat us in a circle and asked pretty basic and easy to answer questions(hobbies, skills, strengths), and had us go in order and answer it. After asking about 5-10 questions, they asked us finish our paperwork and then turn it in to one of them. When I was done, I turned in the clip board and then they set me up to take the integrity test. It was about 50 questions and took me about 10 minutes to finish, and when I was done they said they would give me a call that night to see if I got the job.
