Interview Process:
The interview process consisted of three rounds. The first round was with HR, covering general role and company information. The second round was a technical interview with the architect and team lead, where we discussed the position responsibilities and my relevant past experience. The third round involved a lead and another team member, who provided insights into the role and company culture.
Offer & Negotiation:
I received an offer following the final interview. I attempted to negotiate the compensation package, requesting a 8% increase. However, the company declined my counter-proposal and rescinded the offer entirely.
While the interview process itself was thorough and well-structured, the company's unwillingness to engage in reasonable salary negotiations was disappointing. The abrupt rescission of the offer in response to a modest negotiation request raised concerns about how the organization values candidates and handles discussions around compensation.
