I interviewed at the store in Peoria, IL. It was the most unprofessional interview I have ever had. When the hiring manager (I believe she was an assistant manager) met me, there was no "Hi! I'm (name). Nice to meet you!" There was no handshake. All she said/grunted was "Follow me" with a dirty look on her face. By this point, I was already 50% sure I had no desire to work at this place because I didn't like the attitude and bad energy. She leads me into this small windowless back room, and I sit down and proceed to scoot my chair closer because they're so far apart and she says, "No! You can stay there." Now I'm 75% sure by this point I have no desire to work at this place. Then she interviews me, asking me asinine questions (with dirty looks on her face the whole time), and it isn't until the end of the interview that I find out that they don't have shifts available where you can work a full day - only a few hours a day. Why wasn't this explained BEFORE an interview was even set up? This was a complete waste of my time and gas since I drove from out of town. I was so disgusted with my experience that I have no plans to ever shop here again. I now understand why this location always has a "Now hiring!" sign at the front entrance.
The interview was mostly a one-on-one conversation and overall it was fairly simple. As long as your personality and work style align with the culture and expectations of that specific location, you should do just fine.
