I was contacted via LinkedIn by a Cava employee to interview for the Executive Coordinator position. I met virtually with the employee, and the interview went great (I thought!) She set up a second interview in two weeks for me to interview with the Chief Of People, whom I would be supporting in the role. I emailed her after our interview to thank her for her time and never heard back.
The day before my second interview, I emailed her again to confirm the next day's interview. I had not heard a word from her since our original interview, so I was confused. I had not received any sort of confirmation, or virtual invitation and she scheduled it for the day before Thanksgiving, so I had to arrange my plans around the interview.
The morning of the interview, I reached back out on LinkedIn, assuming this woman did not receive my email. I can tell on LinkedIn that she has viewed my message, and I still to this day have not heard anything.
It is very easy to send a brief email that the role has been filled with another candidate, but it is extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate to not respond at all to emails or LinkedIn messages. I was very disappointed in how I was treated throughout the entire process.
