I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at CDK Global (Hoffman Estates, IL) in Feb 2015
Interview
Received a telephone call from the Recruiter, thought it did not go well, asked me about my accounting background and the difficult equations I dealt with; she did not like my answers, but next day received an email to give a 3 hour time slot to interview with 4 people in the organization.
Went to the interview, the first person was whom I was replacing, she was extremely nice and helpful in the description, explained there was little accounting and everybody was self sufficient. (ok, so I am now confused). Second person, very nice gentleman says he requires very little support and does his own thing but nice to have some help when needed (now really confused), next person in Finance said I am not an admin but a project manager. And continued to berate me as being an administrative assistant. Then said the last person I was to interview with had no time.
That was a ruse to let the last person know I was not good enough for the position. The 3 hour interview took less than 1 hour.
What I took away from this it that their recruiter had no idea what she was talking about or what they (CDK) were looking for. Last person tried to trip me up with 'behavioral interview questions' but became frustrated when I would not bite or answered with ease. That ended that.
Bad experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Give me a time when you (several start like this) and a co-worker disagreed or other experiences that are not nice.
Easy going and friendly, I felt quite relaxed. There were 3 stages and each stage was fine. It took a while to hear back but all good otherwise. Nice process
I applied through other source. I interviewed at CDK Global (Pikesville, MD) in Jan 2013
Interview
In person with another person that wasn't me. The other person was with the company I went to for the interview. However they were with the company that I went to interview with.
