The scope of the topics discussed during these sessions was quite broad, covering essential algorithms like binary search, which is fundamental for optimizing search operations in sorted datasets. Additionally, we delved into techniques for checking duplicates within collections, a common challenge that tests one’s ability to identify and handle repetitive data efficiently.
Another significant area of focus was on the development and integration of Restful APIs, which are crucial for building scalable and maintainable web services. This part of the interview aimed to evaluate my understanding of web communication protocols and my ability to design APIs that adhere to the principles of REST, including statelessness, cacheability, and a layered system architecture. We discussed various methods, status codes, and the importance of resource naming, which are all pivotal in creating intuitive and effective API endpoints.
Furthermore, the interview encompassed in-depth discussions on SQL, emphasizing not just basic CRUD operations but also advanced queries, joins, indexing, and optimization strategies. This was to assess my proficiency in handling databases, understanding relational data models, and executing complex queries that are performant and scalable.
