I met with the recruiter, and had a positive interview. She said that there would be a follow up interview with the hiring VP and then if that went well, with the CEO. They asked me to work on an Excel file to calculate LTV with 22,000 lines of raw data, and said that it should only take an hour to complete. First, I would never use Excel on it's own for a task like this. A more professional and efficient way of doing this would be with reports in a CRM, a BI, or if you're really in the dark ages and don't have a CRM or a BI, with SQL with the database. You could also use Python or R. But, never with Excel by itself! After all that, they didn't even bother with a personal response. I just got a form letter reply thanking me for my interest. I replied to the recruiter asking for feedback and she didn't reply.
