Did well enough during an initial telephone screening to get offered an in-person interview (for a to-be-scheduled time during the following work week) amongst myself, an HR screener, and two potential supervisors. Was given multiple excuses over a nine (9) day period for not yet having a specific date/time for the in-person interview (e.g., supervisors had not communicated, supervisors had not chosen a mutual date yet, supervisor had unexpected absence, both supervisors out today) before getting a perfunctory email thanking me for participating in the screening process but the company had decided to go with someone else for the interview/job. Normally might be fine if I had not been getting reassurances the in-person interview was going to happen such that it was prudent to research and prepare whole-heartedly for the in-person interview. Excuse for not setting a specific date/time for the in-person interview were likely half-truths or outright falsehoods. Gave the right people a chance to comment but they declined to do so, so any company response to this review should be viewed as mere window dressing.
