My experience with Campari Group was unfortunately the worst candidate experience I have ever been through. I had high hopes when I clicked on the "submit" button on my application; it was an industry that I was passionate about and the role seemed like a great match in terms of my experience. I went through a three stage process:
1. Phone interview / screen with a Senior Recruiter
2. An interview with the Hiring Manager
3. An interview with a senior member of the HR team
The interview themselves were enjoyable to participate in and only cemented my interest in the role further. However, the overall experience I had as a candidate was extremely poor and here is why:
* On numerous occasions I was told when I would receive feedback and an update within a certain time frame, these were constantly missed and I needed to follow up on multiple occasions
* I received an email with wording and language that gave the impression that my application had been successful and I was the company's preferred candidate, clearly this was not the case
* I was advised my application had been unsuccessful via a WhatsApp message, this was after I had been through three stages of interviews. These messages were then deleted and I received a call to say I hadn't been rejected for the role and that I would be told within a week what the situation was.
* This deadline was then missed and I was effectively ghosted, left with no feedback at all, no concrete decision.
