I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Campari Group in Jan 2023
Interview
Applied for an ABM role in New York in January. Was invited for a first round interview just a few days after applying. It was a 30-minute video call. The interviewer didn’t have their camera on, which was a little odd, but it happens sometimes. I wasn’t asked any of the expected questions, like “Why Campari?” or “Tell me about yourself”. Instead, I was asked about recent go-to-market campaigns I’ve worked on and the structure of my current team. When I asked some basic questions about the role and the company, the interviewer simply said “hmm, I don’t know”, and when I asked what they liked about the company, they said “I didn’t think I would like it at first” - unprofessional and off-putting responses. They explicitly said they “don’t ghost” and that I would hear back the following week about next steps. After two weeks of hearing nothing, I followed up with no response. When I followed up a second time, after a few more weeks had passed, I finally got a curt response saying they went with another candidate.

Lengthy interview process where the recruiter didn't know anything about the role and struggled to answer basic questions. After promising to give feedback and follow up about the role I was ghosted.
