      Interview

Absolutely the worst interview experience I’ve ever had. This company is a complete joke when it comes to hiring. They drag candidates through exhausting rounds, make them solve complex system-wide problems that take hours of unpaid effort, and then shamelessly reject people saying they’re “moving forward with an internal candidate.” If the role was already fixed for an internal hire, why waste everyone’s time by posting it publicly? The entire process feels fake and dishonest from the beginning. Zero respect for candidates, terrible communication, and a complete lack of professionalism. The recruiters and EMs act arrogant while running one of the most disorganized and frustrating interview processes imaginable. And honestly, after seeing how they operate internally, it’s not surprising their product feels outdated and stuck in the past. The culture clearly reflects in the quality of the company itself. Save yourself the stress and avoid interviewing here unless you enjoy wasting your time and energy for nothing.

      Interview

I went through multiple interview steps: an initial conversation with an internal recruiter, a take-home technical test using the company’s library, and a collaborative coding session, again using their library. Unfortunately, I didn’t pass the whiteboard session. In that last interview, the interviewer openly admitted from the start that they were not an expert on the topic. The task was to design classes for the existing engine together. However, a significant amount of time was spent on an example that turned out to be not relevant for the core part of the interview. My impression was that the interviewer had a specific solution in mind and was not receptive to alternative approaches. This made it difficult to engage in a true collaborative design discussion, and I had a strong sense I would not pass. My suggestion to the company: ensure interviewers are well-prepared and open to different perspectives, especially in technical and design interviews. This would make the process fairer and more productive for candidates.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We understand how frustrating it is to invest significant time in a process and receive an outcome like this. Internal candidates can sometimes emerge mid-process, and we acknowledge that when this happens, it should be communicated earlier and more transparently. That's a fair criticism and one we're taking seriously. Your feedback will be shared with the team and we apologise for your experience. We wish you the best in your search.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Camunda (Stockholm, Stockholm) in Oct 2025

      Interview

I recently had an interview for a Senior Technical position. While the initial introduction was polite, the overall interview experience did not meet the expected professional standards for this level. The interviewer appeared to be reading directly from a prepared list of questions. When clarification was needed, the questions were repeated verbatim without further explanation, making communication difficult. It also seemed that my responses were being compared word-for-word against written notes rather than being evaluated through a deeper technical understanding or discussion. In my opinion, technical or scenario-based assessments for a senior role should ideally be conducted by a Technical Manager or Lead Engineer—someone who can properly assess a senior candidate’s experience, problem-solving skills, and reasoning beyond scripted answers.
