I have been in retail for a short - time; however, I have always enjoyed high fashion. Upon graduating college, I applied for a sales position at our local Michael Kors (I figured it would be a great fit because I loved the product and supported the brand). Initially, the store manager was pleasant and inviting. I passed the first interview and was called back to do the second interview on the floor. I thought it was going well... During the interview other associates kept approaching the manager conducting the interview and whispering than they would let out a high laugh... I started to feel uncomfortable. Later, the manager and I went into her office and were discussing the position. Out of nowhere she began to imply that I didn't have the michael kors look and that I was untrustworthy.

I applied through my professor to get the job, and they emailed me back saying that they will have a phone-call interview. We had a conversation and asked about my past experiences. Since I didn't have enough experience, they seemed to lose interest.
The interview was fashion and company based so it is important to do your research on Michael himself and the company. I researched how Michael got his start into fashion and the making of the company itself. While I highly recommend researching any company before an interview I highly suggest it for this one.
