I applied in-person. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Capri Holdings (New York, NY) in Mar 2011
Interview
The interview process is long, and there are multiple interviews. Be prepared to answer questions multiple times to multiple people. I think they check to see if your answers are consistent. You have to have multiple questions for the interviewer. I asked 6 questions, and after my sixth question she said, "What else?" The experience was intense, but relatively laid back. From my experience working in the position, I found that if the conversation doesn't feel comfortable or natural, it's an automatic no. You have to be able to create a rapport with people instantly in this job, and you have to follow trends. It's also really important that you do your research about the company, about michael, and about the product. That will definitely give you a leg up.

Question 1
What do you do for fun? How do you lead a team? How did you make your goals? How will you ensure your sales associates make their goals? Why do you want to work for this company? What do you know about Michael Kors? What are your favorite trends? Where do you look for style advice? Tell me about a time you had to give negative feedback, what did the conversation look like?
There was an in store component where I had to run the sales floor for an hour. It's difficult if you don't know the product. Go online and learn some of the features and benefits of the product and try to know their core lines like Hamilton, Fulton, Jet Set, etc. so that you can properly speak with the customers about the product. I did, and they were really impressed.
