I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at CaptivateIQ (San Francisco, CA) in Sep 2019
Interview
Had a first phone screening with one of the co-founders --very conversational to learn about each other and see if it would be a mutual fit
Next, scheduled a video conference with Head of Sales a couple days later --again very conversational but this time more role specific about my experience and what I'm looking for
Afterwards, scheduled an onsite interview that consisted of a demo roleplay where I was asked to demo a product I already know (as opposed to the pressure of learning a new solution and trying to demo something I haven't used before) in order to see my process and how I handle a technical sale
After the demo, I then interviewed with two others currently in the role I was applying for who gave me very honest answers of the pros and cons of the role
The third interview was with product and engineering to discuss cross function collaboration and make sure of a good overall culture fit
Overall, it's very much straightforward and honest in order to see if this is a mutual fit for both the company and interviewee

Challenges in the demo to see how you handle difficult questions
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at CaptivateIQ in Oct 2023
Interview
Had an initial screen with the recruiter and she was late to the call, which felt strange. Then progressed to a 30 min hiring manager interview. Hiring manager confirmed I was a solid fit and would progress me to the next round (mock disco), but the recruiter abruptly emails 2 days later they’re not progressing me. No context or feedback was provided even when requested. Not a great experience to be lied to without an explanation.

***I was made a formal offer. One week later they pulled the offer with no explanation.***
All steps below were 100% virtual.
Step 1: Recruiter Screen
Step 2: Call with the hiring manager
Step 3: Loop with Solution Engineer, Sales Peer, BDR Leadership, and VP of Sales.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at CaptivateIQ
Interview
1) Recruiter screening 2) Meet with some of the Sales Managers 3) Interview with rest of team 4) Presentation. Most of the folks I met with were generally nice, however there were two people from the team that were really dry, no personality and generally felt a lack of effort went into getting to know me. I got the sense that they were looking for people already well versed in Excel/SQL which seems like it will be a requirement for the job. I walked away from it feeling less excited for the role based on the low levels of engagement I received. The recruiter was punctual in providing a yes/no in moving forward which is respectable. I got the sense they were growing reallllllly quickly hiring a bazillion SDR reps at a time!
