I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at CarData (Fort Myers, FL) in Apr 2023
Interview
Interview process was easy. They gave a lot of good info but I feel like there is miscommunication when it comes to floater and people being off commission. The video that is made doesn’t tell much about the floater position and it was seemed to me that there would be a pretty quick/easy way to start being a commission based. To work outside for majority luxury cars I believe people should be making $18 bare minimum, but I get it entry level.
I applied online. I interviewed at CarData (Orlando, FL) in Jul 2026
Interview
The interview involves verifying one's work as an on-site photographer and videographer; the process was really pleasant, and the trainer was very disciplined. I underwent two days of training, and throughout the process, I was informed about everything required during the day—beyond just taking the photos—as well as how to use the software to send the images to the company.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
...whether I was prepared to do this type of work despite the high temperatures, since the job requires being out in the sun most of the time; whether I could travel from one dealership to another; and whether I genuinely liked the work.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at CarData in May 2026
Interview
easy going, not too stressful and the people were awesome. i liked being able to travel and complete the work at hand. The pay seemed fair, and the oppertunites for growth seem steady and focused. Overall i had a great experience.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at CarData
Interview
I went through an interview process that included two shadow days. This was helpful for understanding expectations, workflow, and team dynamics. Employees were professional and supportive, and the environment seemed structured. However, the shadow days included hands-on work that felt closer to actual job duties rather than observation. I recommend that candidates clarify expectations beforehand. Overall, it was a useful experience that provided transparency into the role, but clearer communication about the scope of shadowing would improve the process.
