Best interview experience so far. The interview is designed in such a way to let the candidate demonstrate his problem-solving skills rather than complex algorithm knowledge.
It is a two-part process.
1) Phone interview
2) Onsite interview

Question 1
1) Initial 3-part phone screen
- SQL exercise (JOINS, AVG, SUM)
- Coding question (Easy/Medium level question with a bunch of follow up questions on scalability and performance)
- How do you analyze slow performance of a website in production?
2) Onsite interview
3 technical rounds of 1 hr each. Each involved a OOPs based coding exercise involving a lot of followup questions and scenarios regarding concurrency, scalability, maintainability, and performance optimization.
1 non-technical round with questions regarding general background experience. This round was more of a general discussion.

Standard process. Recruiter call, one technical screening and then on-site for 4 rounds.
The process is pretty simple. SQL-heavy interviews. The recruiter was really helpful throughout the process. Got structured feedback after the interview as well.

It was fun and they treated me well. Asked questions about my experience and talked in general about more things as well as the product I would be working on.

The company recruiter contacted me on LinkedIn with a job opportunity. We scheduled an initial interview. He did not call at the appointed time, nor did he offer any explanation.
This lack of professionalism reflects badly on the company.
I wonder what else they are saving on besides cheap recruiters...
