I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Carrot Fertility (Austin, TX) in Aug 2021
Interview
I applied and it took over a month to receive any follow-up. From there, it moved rather quickly, I had a total of three interviews and was scheduled for the 4th before they canceled it after my 3rd interview.
The interviews were fine but felt like there wasn't much information on what the actual position would look like. They also asked me about paid ads which I don't have much experience with and did not include on my resume so I felt they didn't properly review my credentials prior to my third interview.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Carrot Fertility in Aug 2021
Interview
It was a multi-step interview process, starting with a 30 minute informational interview, followed by sessions with teammates/close collaborators with the role, references, and ended with a case study presentation and Q&A. The process took about 4 weeks start to finish.
The process was a bit muddled, as the hiring manager was onboarding during the interview process. The team were very friendly, although it did feel like there was not a great understanding of what success for this role would look like. I got the impression the company is growing quickly and they are building the car as they are driving it, which isn't totally unique in the startup world. My hesitation with joining the company was around culture fit and the path to profitability.
