I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Carrot Fertility (Remote) in Dec 2022
Interview
Very transparent and straightforward. Loved the honesty even if I didn't move forward. The recruiter/HR folks have done a great job of priming the candidate with what to expect in their interviews in a pdf that's sent over email. As of late 2022, it should look like this: Phone screen => Screenshare coding => onsite one (code review + product management) => onsite two (architecture discussion + team discussion...didn't make it here). Some tips for the first tech round: You should set up your space to have the env ready to go. Some expectations I wish I had known: the tech round is about solving the prompt, and being scrappy. The previous candidates may have failed here due to focusing on the wrong things - API familiarity is not the issue, and I cleared this despite never having written python or Flask. I used google and left comments to keep track of my efforts. For the onsite day 1's tech round: there are logic breaking issues, and style issues. Yes, it's in flask. But these style and logic issues are so glaring that any seasoned engineer should pick out. I don't have advice for the product management round, except that you should be prepared to think like a PM and solve this round like you would if your PM was absent. I've had the luxury of not thinking about these problem spaces due to fantastic PMs I've worked with so I didn't put my best foot forward here. That was the final (terminating) feedback communicated.
