Called 3- 6 months after applying for an opened position to set up an interview. When I went, was asked how much I was expecting to get paid. Was opened and was asked again for an amount. Then was told no one makes that amount. ( used current salary in industry / experience = $)

Offered a cashier's position to me b/c he didn't know me and wanted to see how I work B 4 promoting me. My resume and experience didn't matter. They offer insurance but do not pay for any of it. Told me I could call him if I had any questions.
I submitted a paper application was called to come in for an in-person interview. Then a series of customer service-based questions were asked about my previous experience and what I can bring to the table.

Great process and interview. Liked them a lot. Was clear and upfront about expectations and benefits. Almost accepted but it simply did not work out. In another situation I definitely would have accepted the position.

This was a phone interview. I am older and the interviewer was very interested in wanting to know what I did directly out of college which was 25 years ago. She was not interested in my career for the last 20 years that made me more than qualified for the position.
