The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Chico's FAS in Jul 2011
Interview
I applied at Chico's online and a week pater i got called and was interviewed over the phone. Then they scheduled me for a one on one interview. 1 week later I went into the store and met with the assistant manager. I followed her to her "Office" which was a little table in the stock room covered in crumbs with junk food laying around. She asked me a series of ridiculous intricate questions as if I was going to be working for the CIA. Two weeks later I got a phone call saying I was hired. The pay was pretty sad and the responsibilities I was taking on were a load. The only reason I took the job was because I had no other options.

Question 1
How will you handle the store when management isn't here?
There were two rounds, one with the SM then one with the DM. I got an offer same day, which happened to be my birthday! It was a great role and I appreciate it

Question 1
My experience with visual merchandizing and my past as a trainer for new employees
Received a phone call asking me to come to the location I applied to on a certain day. I showed up 15 minutes early but was happy to wait until my scheduled time. I waited half an hour past my scheduled time because the DM was 30 minutes late. When she arrived she didn't even apologize, and then rushed me thru the interview. I never heard from them again. Left a very bad impression of that store.
Quick and Easy: chat with SM, then have an even speedier chat with DM on another day. Then they will offer you a position or potentionally just not get back to you, like any other employer.
