Interview
I put in an application online and was contacted 8 days later by the store manager who called for a brief interview. Was asked about retail experience and clarified that I would be on the sales floor and if I would like to do that. Also was asked about availability, and what I thought about the Chico’s product. Ended up scheduling an interview the next day.
I came in with my resume and was taken to the back. The interview itself was more lax and comfortable than others I have been to. The manager basically went over my resume. Overall, it was a very informal and informational interview. The manager was completely understanding of my situation and was overall empathetic, even gave me advice which was very encouraging. I liked that I was asked about what was on my resume, which she had mentioned in the phone interview as well as it made me feel as if she wanted to get to know me more as a potential employee.
After the interview I was shown around the back of the store and the front and I left feeling pretty positive about the experience. I was told I would hear back from her that next week, but I never got a call. I called the following week and was told I was "definitely going to be hired" by the assistant store manager and that I would hear back in a few days. Once again, a week passed and I hear nothing. Called back and was told something different, that they were still going through applications and that I would hear back that next week. Another week has passed and is obviously an indicator that I was not chosen for the job. My experiences were positive minus the waiting after the interview and I honestly would have preferred them being up front about their decision not to hire me, rather than getting my hopes up when I was explicitly told I was going to be hired.

Interview
The interview process itself was not too bad. The team was very welcoming and introduced to my the company the culture.
The questions themselves were straight forward, asking about my previous experience, what i currently do, and etc
Interview was 1:1 with the manager at store location. Included talk about why Chicos and how I would help being part of the team. Needed to be okay with not sitting during working hours and boss was insistent on there always was something to do during your shift.

Very nice, the assistant manager was the one that did the interview. There was basic interview questions about the interviewer and past experiences. They are pretty straight forward and the team is amazing they have good support from each other.
