Chico's was very organized in the arrangement of my trip to the company for an interview. They arranged everything for me ahead of time and provided everything I needed to get there (car, gps, hotel, flights). They even arranged a tour of the area. I was so pleased. That part was wonderful, however, the interview process was disturbing. All of the eight employees that I met with seemed unhappy with their jobs. Not one of them said they liked working there, and many made gesters (rolling their eyes, heavy sigh, slumping shoulders) when talking about their responsibiliites. I got the distinct impression that this is not a happy place to work. They seem very overworked, overwhelmed and tired. For the job I was interviewing for, it seemed that no one had really thought about what they wanted or needed from this position. The 2 upper managers said almost opposite things to me when I asked what the expectations of the job would be.
