In the middle of Christmas season when the store was slammed with business, the manager, who was woefully understaffed, talked to me for 5 minutes. I thought I would be asked back for a second round when she wasn't so busy, especially since I was just a walk-in. There was a lot of info about the company I woulda/shoulda asked but at the time it really didn't matter that much since I only wanted a temporary seasonal job. Well, my mistake because I ended up staying and found out 7 months later at my performance review that they don't ever give raises. Had I known that I definitely would have negotiated for more money. Oh well, I am quitting the second I graduate from college.
