The interview process at Circana consisted of three rounds. The first round was a conversation with an HR representative, which went smoothly. The second round involved completing anexercise and presenting it to two interviewers, which also went well. However, my main issue arose during the final round.
After an interview with the manager, I mentioned that I had other potential opportunities and expressed a desire to receive a prompt decision if they wanted me to join the team. That same evening, the manager called me back to inform me that they were offering me the position and that HR would follow up with a formal offer shortly.
Well, I’m still waiting for that offer. I’ve received no further communication from them. Interestingly, I noticed (thanks to LinkedIn Premium) that some team members have since viewed my LinkedIn profile.
For a recruitment process that involves three rounds, including a detailed exercise and presentation, there should be a minimum level of professionalism when it comes to following up with candidates. If you verbally commit to making an offer, you should follow through. Fortunately, I had other opportunities to fall back on, but this experience was disappointing and reflects poorly on their recruitment process.
