TLDR: Don’t waste your time interviewing here - all previous Glassdoor reviews are true.
There’s a reason why their positions have a long time-to-fill. After you apply/get reached out on LinkedIn, they instantly have you complete a case study/assignment. I’m all for case studies but how do you expect sourced candidates to complete anything when you haven’t even spoken to them about the position?! This entire interview process lacks human touch and only cares about ‘meeting metrics’
1. Application Review
2. Writing Assignment
3. Live Skills Assessment (Sourcing) with Lead Tech Recruiter for Staff Software Engineer position
4. Take Home Test (Intake Meeting Questions, Source 2 Candidates, Strategy, etc)
5. 1:1 with Leadership Recruiting Manager (Strategy, Sourcing, etc)
6. 1:1 with Chief of Staff (Sourcing, Metrics & Compensation)
7. 1:1 with CEO
The amount of time spent throughout this interview process is insane. As other recruiting candidates have echoed, some of the interviews felt interrogatory. At no point within this process did I speak to a recruiter about the responsibilities, interview process, salary expectations or any other important details until the 1:1 with the Chief of Staff, like really? Most of this information is covered within the first initial conversation of the interview process. Also, the Chief of Staff comes from a finance background - why is she overseeing recruiting? My 1:1 with the CEO was lackluster and rude.
Oh by the way, do not believe the positive employee reviews. When I first started interviewing with Clipboard, their rating was a 3.2 and now it’s miraculously at a 4.6 - they obviously have submitted an influx of fake reviews.
