      Interview

Believe the reviews! In the terrible market we're faced with, we don't have a lot of options right now when it comes to be "selective" with which companies we interview with. So against my instincts to believe the reviews on Glassdoor about their recruiting process I decided to interview with them anyways. Big mistake! First steps: Generic email asking me to fill out a long form full of questions and scenarios. Examples are programs I source from, an outreach email I would send to a passive candidate (first red flag), a rejection email, etc. Second step: I've YET to speak to anyone from the organization, but a person emails me saying next steps is to have a sourcing session via teams, where I need to come up with several candidates I would source for a particular role. They sent me a job description and that's it. No "must haves", requirements, etc. The job description doesn't even have required languages or tools. Now, mind you recently being laid off, I do not have access to paid tools to aid in my search, so my sourcing abilities are limited. I spend hours preparing and coming up with the "whys" to why I would reach out to certain candidate and follow up questions I would have for the HMs based on the lack of information before souring. Then right before the interview the person who I was scheduled with ghosted me, cancelled my interview last minute with no explanation, and I was left reaching out asking "what is going on?" I get a new person who reached out to reschedule. Another red flag, never apologized for the confusion or last minute cancellation after I blocked my time to chat with them. There was a complete lack of compassion for wasting my time waiting and preparing for the interview. I finally have the sourcing session interview after the interviewer shows up late and rushes me through the process (red flag). They challenge me, I push back with my reasons and why, with the information I have that these candidates would be solid fits for the role. They agree with all of my summaries and the candidates I've chosen. They said they didn't have feedback and I did well. Next day rejected. I asked for feedback and they said because the candidates didn't use the exact tools they used at the company. 1. That was never a requirement 2. In what world will top talent check every box and a company not be flexible with language agnostic candidates? 3. The only list of tools I found on their website was so robust that I assumed exposure to some of the more common and updated tools would suffice for a "mock role" I was clearly wrong. So they got my free sourced candidates and rejected me for a sourcing standard they never told me I needed to meet. Communication was terrible, process was terrible, they never even asked about my experience, the roles I've filled, stakeholder management, etc. They have no idea who I am as a candidate and my working abilities in prior roles. Absolutely terrible candidate experience, I felt used and tossed aside once they had what I wanted. And ask yourself "Is this the type of process and recruiter I would want to be if I actually were to be hired by this company?" My answer is a hard no. It's tough out here looking for jobs, but this company isn't your answer! Take your resume and run!

      Interview

Applied, automated response to complete a long task without any conversation, then an automated response after the time invested in doing the assignment - clueless recruitment team, kind of think they're collating data from the number of recruiters interviewing to help automate something using this info. Shady company, wish I'd read the Glassdoor first, even the positive reviews look staged / fake

      Question 1

What would you do "scenario" (seemed very extreme) mentioned a funnel where they accepted and sent tech tests to over 1000 applicants - it was clearly written by someone who has no sense of technical or specialist recruiting experience

Went through, 3 Interviews, 1 sourcing test and met COO as final round interviewee. The whole experience was very intimidating. They lacked fundamental knowledge of recruitment and yet pretended that they found water on earth.

      Interview

The first step was a case study. I did not receive any contact from anybody but a straightaway case study, after doing that I received only automated information about being rejected. When I asked twice about more details as I have spent a lot of time on it there was no contact. Very poor candidate experience!
