This review also applies for the Core Sales, Team Lead role as well, since I also applied for that/had the exact same experience*
Out of any job application process I've ever gone through in my 15 year+ career, Clipboard Health's was by far the most frustrating. I was genuinely excited to receive a response and the opportunity to move forward with two roles.
Despite never talking to an actual human (which was a huge red flag), I decided it was worth a shot to complete two separate (and very time intensive) case studies to move forward. I completed the case studies in earnest, and felt very confident that my efforts provided what the company was looking for. I spent over 10 hours completing both of the assignments (again, never having spoken to an actual person), and within a day of my submission, I received a heartless auto-rejection as if I just completed a 2-second easy apply application on LinkedIn. This is despite the fact that both roles in reality were a bit of a step down in my career/no more than a lateral move.
Clipboard tries to con the applicant into buying their "recruiting philosophy," but have no doubt this is absolutely just a ploy for them to carry out demeaning and predatory hiring tactics.
It is bad enough to ask candidates to do hours and hours of free labor, but to do so and never even have the decency to have a recruiter or hiring manager reach out for a screen is just plain unacceptable. After finding some of their leadership's email addresses and questioning this further, I was ghosted by them too, as expected.
This company simply put is a just a walking red flag--stay as far away as possible; while they tell you they want you to have "fun" completing the case study, it's no fun doing tons of work for free without even the courtesy of an actual interview.
