Spent a week working on an assignment. It was perfect. Had to chase them down over and over for a feedback. Finally received the pre-written letter stating “We think the role we have right now and the place where our company is right now may not be the best place to set you up to succeed”.
The craziest thing is that the business case was an actual current problem they were facing and the implemented a solution they ultimately adopted (I tracked a fee weeks later) was 95% similar to the one I provided. I’m not going to go as far as mention plagiarism but even if you hit the bullseye on your assignment it doesn’t matter. Not a single human conversation. This process is absolutely ridiculous.
Wow! I should have trusted my gut. This company is doing some unethical things on their hiring process. I don’t think they’re really hiring. With all these reviews, I feel like they’re only stealing ideas from candidates who will fall on their trap.
They asked me to do a case study, and it took me days to finished because I wanna be thorough as possible only for them to tell me 2 days later that I won’t be moving forward.
I checked their LinkedIn and it shows that the job has been reposted. So out of the hundreds (maybe thousands) candidates, they couldn’t find even just one who will qualify for the position? Yup, they’re probably stealing ideas from the candidates. Please don’t waste your time.

We’ve found that case studies are the best way to ensure that people who join Clipboard succeed in their role and at the company. We’ve also gotten feedback that they're a great way for candidates to get a feel for what they’ll tackle once on the team. That’s why from time to time we use in our case studies problems we’ve already solved, rather than made-up hypotheticals. And of course if we hadn’t solved a problem already ourselves, we wouldn’t be able to grade case study submissions.
