The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Cloudflare
Interview
The worst interview process I've ever experienced with any company ever.
I only heard back on my application after 5 weeks (!!). Then followed another 4 weeks of increasingly frustrating and exhausting interviews
There was barely any attempt to build any rapport or learn about my motivation and personality from the interviewers. They just fired questions at me from a list on their screen while furiously typing down the answers. One of the interviewers was late and seemed intent on getting out of the conversation as soon as possible.
.
The whole process is more focused on you regurgitating quick tech facts than testing sales/people skills that often take years to acquire.
I was very well-prepared for the interviews. Had spent hours learning about the company, the products, website, videos and podcasts. However, I was demotivated from working at Cloudflare before the interviews were completed.
From reading previous reviews it's clear that this impersonal draining process has been the method for many years - much to the discontent of applicants who have written repeatedly about being bombarded with questions, a very slow interview process and no real interest in qualities and motivations of candidates. It's telling that more than 50% of people interviewing here dislike the process.
In April 2023 Cloudflare's CEO Matthew Prince was in the news for speaking very disparagingly about the Cloudflare sales team insinuating that the sales people were essentially order takers. And he disclosed that 12% of his sales team had only contributed 4% of total revenue.
Cloudflare's interview process doesn't actually seem to reap great results, yet Cloudflare keep doing the exact same things in their hiring process year after year. Only a fool would keep repeating the same process and expect different results.

Interview was laid back. Fired some questions about their products so ensure to go through website thoroughly. Responded within a week. Didnt get the job but the company is reputable but their sales team has bad reviews.
Professional, organized and upfront. Appreciated the frequent updates and candidness about progressing through the process. Again, professional, organized and upfront. Appreciated the frequent updates and candidness about progressing through the process.
