I applied online. I interviewed at Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Co. (Fort Collins, CO) in Jul 2022
Interview
Unprofessional. Likely the worst interview I have ever had to sit through; I could not wait to have the interview over and almost cut the interview short myself within the first 5 minutes. Rather than asking anything about me or my experience, they just tried selling me on the job. Red flag #1.
Neither “hiring manager” who was on the call had their camera on. Both were driving in their cars, while one had a new hire in his car at the time of the interview. The call kept cutting out due to them driving, so I had to ask them to repeat themselves on several occasions. Red flag #2-#5.
There is no way I would have even considered hiring those 2 managers, if I was recruiting for the position.
The interview had the used car salesman vibe. No thank you!
They said they would send me an email to explain the pay structure and set up a 2nd interview, but I have not heard anything. I didn’t really hide the fact that I was unimpressed but did my best to be respectful, so I was not expecting them to actually reach back out. I wouldn’t have accepted a 2nd interview with Xander or Ben. Thank you for giving me insight into the insurance industry.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Co. (Virginia Beach, VA) in Oct 2020
Interview
I was contacted because they found my resume. I was called and interviewed out of the blue for about 15 minutes. An interview was set up for a couple of days later. I did not receive a call on that date and time for the follow up interview. I am not to sure about being an insurance salesperson to begin with.

No interview happened at the agreed to time. I am not impressed with the professionalism.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Co. (Grand Rapids, MI) in Jun 2019
Interview
Less of and interview and more of a sales pitch on why its amazing to work on commission. Intervier really focused on how much his life has changed and how flexible his hours are due to having this type of a sales job. Described all the vacations he is offered. Just an over all sales pitch.
