The first part of the interview process included a phone screen with one of their HR people and lasted about 15 minutes. During the phone call I was told that if I was selected for the position they would relocate me to the specific office location. After a week of not hearing anything in response I called the HR person back directly to follow up on the interview. I was then told something to the effect of "the office location wants someone local and doesn't want to relocate any candidates" even though I was explicitly told otherwise. I proceeded to tell the HR representative that I would be willing to relocate myself which earned me a spot for the final round interview at their regional office. The interview was pretty easy as they asked mainly situational questions. After being told what a "great interview" I had I heard nothing for close to a week. I reached out to the person I interviewed with and was told they were going in a "different direction" with another candidate (so much for the bullsh*t feedback from how great my interview went).
