I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Consumers Energy (Detroit, MI) in Oct 2018
Interview
Meet them at Career fair and then had an on campus interview. Pretty quick process and heard back rather fast. Asked very straight forward and behavioral questions. Asked if I had any big projects or big accomplishments that I was proud of. Make sure you ask questions about the company and know a bit about it prior to the interview.
Good interview process, many people interviewing you and asking good questions, and personable people, wasn't too difficult. They are friendly people who want to get to know you and possibly hire you.
I applied online. I interviewed at Consumers Energy (Kalamazoo, MI) in Dec 2020
Interview
Mostly asked questions are about the STAR model. Like describing a time you had to go above what was asked of you, or a time you worked with someone you did not like.
Basic interview on campus following a career fair. STAR based questions followed by a chance to ask questions. Nothing technical, just behavioral type of questions. Both interviewers were friendly and happy to answer questions.
