I went through multiple rounds of interviews for a senior legal position at CoreWeave. The process took weeks and involved several hours of interviews with multiple team members. After my final round, communication just stopped — no feedback, no closure, no response to a polite follow-up.
Eventually the job disappeared from the careers page, so it’s clear they moved forward with someone else. What’s frustrating isn’t the rejection — that happens — it’s the total lack of basic professionalism. If a candidate invests double-digit hours in your process, the least you can do is send a two-line email saying you’ve gone in another direction or the process is on hold for whatever reason.
Ghosting someone at that stage is disrespectful of people’s time and effort, and it reflects poorly on a company that otherwise presents itself as innovative and world-class, especially because each person I met seemed thoughtful, personable and invested in the recruiting process. I get that this is unfortunately common nowadays, but this does make you wonder about their internal communication and follow-through work on the inside.
Pros:
• Compelling mission and interesting growth story
• Smart, thoughtful interviewers
Cons:
• Zero follow-up after final rounds
• Disorganized, opaque hiring process
• Feels like candidate experience isn’t a priority
