The interview process consisted of a series of interviews with different managers and team leaders of the data science team. Interview focused on past research and modelling work in data analysis and machine learning.

Interview
There were 3 rounds of interviews for Data Scientist III level. 1) with recruiter. 2) with hiring manager (asked about my experience, general ML process, and some behavioral questions). 3) mini panel (my experience and follow-up questions, a bit more technical). Overall it took about 1 month.
The hiring manager was great! Very into the company and job, and easy to talk to. I feel it would be fun and rewarding working directly with this manager and I would be able to grow my skillset.
The technical recruiter seemed a little disorganized. One example is at the end of the process after they called me with an offer, I negotiated and the recruiter said they would talk internally and get back to me. I didn't hear back for 6 days so assumed they moved to a different candidate, but then I received a message asking for my answer on their offer.
A couple of the managers on the panel seemed to have a different idea of the exact scope of this role than the original HM I talked to. They were more focused on quick model productionizing vs. overall data science methodologies and duties like the first HM. I think the exact job responsibilities would depend on the specific manager you report to.
