I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Coviam (Chennai) in Aug 2019
Interview
The interview was tough. They mentioned they take the best i have to say the process was tough.
For us they took 2 technical rounds and 1 HR round. Your performance in each round matters as they note every thing about you, what answers you have given and other stuff.
In simple way, you can divide the process in 2 parts:
1. Technical skills
2. Analytical skils
you have to be good in both because they test you in various scenario based questions with introducing more difficulty moving forward.
But one thing i would say the interviewers were very helpful and friendly.
They will ask questions from your projects ( Prepare well on it ) ,expect some scenario based questions on them. For other things it should be resume based (it was for me and my friends).
The HR round was good, expect things on what hr generally ask's in interview. My advice would be to be calm and answer honestly.
So prepare well and best of luck if you are applying .

Interview
Coviam is one of those companies which has very extensive interview process. They have 2 technical interviews and sometimes a 3rd HR interview as well. I was from SRM University, Chennai and was placed for a CTC of 7.5 lacs.
The interviews are generally very long. My first interview went for about an hour and the second one went on for about 2.5 hours.
It is a Java based company so its better if you are well versed in OOPS concepts. The interview is purely based on your resume. I put forward my interest in Java so my questions were based on that. The interview is more like a hands on test rather than vocal. You can take your good 10 minutes to think about your answer. I was started on Strings and Collections Framework.
If shortlisted after 1st interview, 2nd interview is more specific based on how your 1st interview went. I was tested more deep on String, String Buffer, and more OOPS concepts. Also it included some riddles, and logical reasoning.
If you clear both interviews and if there is an HR interview that would be merely a formality.
