I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Currys (London, England) in Feb 2018
Interview
It took them roughly two weeks to contact me after I sent off my application.
The interview process was quiet straightforward, as they tell you in advance that there will be role play involved. Due to the nature of the job, you just have to choose a phone to sell to the person who is interviewing you.
I was told that I had the job and that I should wait for the manager to contact me for the training. That was in February and we are now in March. At first I hadn't heard from the manager in weeks, so I decided to ask the manager myself if he had booked my training. A couple of days later, I recieved an email telling me that the vacancy had been filled. I was confused by this, as the manager had taken a copy of my passport, my national insurance number and two proofs of address. Naturally, I was confused by this, so I asked the manager (this time in person) what was going on? The manager's response was that when he processed one person's training, everyone's application was cancelled and he now has to rebook everyone's training again. He also told me to expect him to contact him in 2-3 days. It has now been a week.
I refuse to be the one to chase the manager around, as it is his job to inform me of the training days. However, as I get the feeling that perhaps I have been lied to, I am now looking for another job.
