I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Currys (London, England) in Jun 2024
Interview
I applied for the Retail Media Optimisation Manager role at Curry's and was disappointed with the interview process. I had to chase HR twice for feedback regarding both the first and second interviews. The first interview was a 30-minute call where the interviewers were 5 minutes late and the interview overran by 10 minutes, which wasn't fair.
The second interview involved two tasks: creating a template for their sales team and creating an activity tracker in Excel. I was told I'd receive feedback and the outcome within 5 working days, but I didn't. I had to chase the recruiter for feedback, which turned out to be lackluster:
'Thank you for taking the time to interview for the position of Retail Media Optimization Manager. Unfortunately, we will not be taking things further this time as there are other candidates whose experience is better suited to the role. We’re sorry that it isn’t better news and hope this doesn’t put you off from applying in the future. We wish you all the best in your job search.'
I believe this feedback was lazy, given the amount of time and energy I put into delivering both pieces. Curry's should do better.
