I applied online. I interviewed at DEKA Research and Development (Manchester, NH) in Nov 2020
Interview
Initially had a 30 minute phone interview where we just talked about basic things on my resume and then talked about the role and life in Manchester. Then had a 2 hour video interview (normally in person but had to do it over video due to covid). Broken up into three parts. First went over my resume, then went into detail about one of my projects on my resume (asking about the testing I did, how I would set things up, etc.), and finally whiteboard problems. First one was a riddle I had heard before, the second one was a physics problem, third one was designing a test case based off a scenario they gave. Overall a long process but went well.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
A windowless room contains three identical light fixtures, each containing an identical light bulb or light globe. Each light is connected to one of three switches outside of the room. Each bulb is switched off at present. You are outside the room, and the door is closed. Before opening the door you may play around with the light switches as many times as you like. But once you've opened the door, you may no longer touch a switch. After this, you go into the room and examine the lights. How can you tell which switch goes to which light?

Interview
Had two interviews, took a while to hear back after the first. The first came a couple weeks after applying. First was a phone screening. Second interview was awkward and they seemed like they didn't even know what to ask me about so we just talked about my experience. The interviewers just seemed so stuck up and uninterested that it was really hard to shine even though i know i was a great fit. I didn't really expect to move forward because the vibes were overall just bad.
Best part is, they weren't going to even get back to me. I sent a follow up email the day after and never had a response, then i sent another two weeks later and was told they moved on to other candidates.
I was excited to interview at this company but overall i think i dodged a bullet - I am smart, curious, a hard worker, and graduated with honors, but i don't do well with snobs and would rather work in an open and encouraging environment where people can be themselves and work together. Adios, DEKA!

Interview
Was a phone screening and they asked if I wanted to interview for this position. The online interview was with two other people. One of the interviewers was a huge jerk. I had another interview for a different position but decline the 2nd round interview because the first interview left a sour taste in my mouth.

Three interviews. First was a screening call, second was a more technical interview asking about experience, third expanded on the technical interview. Took about a month and a half to do all three.
