The employer gave me a quiz to try and memorize all of the weights of all of the toppings, cones, and blizzards. She quickly realized that was unrealistic and you'd have to learn on the job so she hired me despite failing the quiz. I became her best employee in the end, so the quiz was not a good determining factor of skill. Dairy Queens are owned individually so the hiring methods vary.

Had a couple questions to answer then the manager if you are hired calls a number and you have to verify everything throu the phone. It takes a week to two weeks to actually start working cause like to start you on payroll on time.
