I went through five disorganized interviews. The first with the recruiter who admitted that they didn't know the position or who the boss would be for the position. Recruiter simply read the job description to me when I asked about role-specific details. This was my first red flag but I figured "hey, maybe the recruiter has a lot of roles to fill."
The second through fifth interviews were with potential team members, who were like but confused. Each individual I spoke with didn't know why they were interviewing me or anything about the role.
After my interviews, I was notified that the position was no longer posted.
This interview process was a foreshadow of how DataRobot works internally and a confirmation of all the negative reviews I've seen on this site. Ironically, they really need someone to enhance their interview process because it. was. bad.
Here's my impression of DataRobot after this process: Disorganized, incompetent, and inconsiderate of other's time
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at DataRobot (Boston, MA) in Aug 2021
Interview
Interview process was fast and seamless. HR followed up without prompting and I was kept in the loop every step of the way. Everyone was super friendly even before I got an offer.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at DataRobot in Apr 2021
Interview
I put 6 hours into interviews in one week and was told I would get a follow up from the recruiter and never did. I followed up by e-mail with the recruiter who never answered and I also e-mailed the hiring manager who told me the hiring process was going to be slow and told me to follow up as I was a top candidiate for the position. 10 days later I followed up and was told " we told you it was on hold" in a short curt e-mail.
