Pros: Everyone I came in contact with at DW truly seemed to like their jobs, the company, and each other.
Cons: Lengthy investment of time (six weeks) and invasive personality tests.
1. Applied Online
2. Phone Interview with local VP
3. Filled out paper application before in-person interview.
4. In-person interview with local VP and would-be manager
5. Returned for 2+ hours of personality and IQ tests (Personality questions, typing, spelling, sentence structure, spatial problems, basic math, and math word problems.)
6. Consented to background check with 3rd party vendor.
7. In-person interview with Regional VP and local manager to discuss personality test results in length and whether I would be a good fit for the position.
I was initially excited by the job description, but lost enthusiasm after the first month and began looking into other opportunities. I was slightly annoyed by the dissection of my personality and personal questions about my family, hobbies, and what I did for fun in college.
That said, I admire the company's culture and understand the their need to find the best fit for a long-term employee.
