      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Deel (Dublin, Dublin) in May 2025

      Interview

Overall it was very quick, 4 interviews, no take home exercise. Interviewers shared a good amount of information to have a clear picture of the role and expectations. Also, good feedback on the experience at the company so far which leaves candidates more comfortable.

      Question 1

Can you walk me through a time where a process was inefficient. What did you do?

      Interview

Not a genuine recruitment process. They advertise roles as if they are hiring anywhere in EMEA only to find out later there are certain countries within EMEA where they do not want to hire from.

      Human Resources Interview

      Mar 30, 2025
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Copenhagen, Capital Region
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Deel (Copenhagen, Capital Region) in Feb 2025

      Interview

Having followed Deel for a while, I was excited when they posted an HR role covering the northern Europe. I applied and two days later I was invited to an 30 minute first interview with a recruiter. Might be a cultural difference here, but I am used to at least saying hello and exchanging a few sentences of friendliness before starting the interview. Normally also get a at least a short presentation of the company and the role (even though I have read the job post and the info on the webpage). None of this happened here. The recruiter said "Sorry I am late" and went straight to the point and said "You have applied for this role X, I am now going to ask you a few questions, and then you can ask yours. Let's start". She then asked me 6-7 questions which I could only answer with Yes/no, one answer or in numbers, see below. When it was my turn to ask questions, she couldn't answer the very basics of the role or employment or the region I was to support. She said that could be answered in the next step, felt like she was annoyed over my questions. I was asked to give a salary request and as I asked back if they have local collective agreement, which would impact my answer (and I still new veeery little about the role, so difficult to answer regardless). She said she didn't know. She told me about the next steps and said I would have an answer within 24 hours. The next day I got an email that it was lovely meeting me but that they found other candidates. I replied and asked for feedback or some information on where I failed, knowing she would never reply - which she hasn't. Being in HR, I expect a lot from other HR/TA-people, this was one of the worst interview experience I have ever had. A classic case of "we are choosing you" and not both ways. A shame since I thought the company was interesting. Plus for a very quick process though, haha.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Where are you based? Why did you leave your last company? Which countries have you supported with HR matters? Which of these countries would you say you are very knowledgeable in? How many people have you supported at most in your previous roles? Have you worked remote before? What is you salary expectations? What is your notice period?
