I was genuinely excited about the opportunity and fully engaged in the application process, which included a home assignment and a theoretical assessment. The home assignment, given a 90-minute timeframe, seemed overly ambitious and unrealistic. The feedback I received highlighted various aspects that required improvement, and I understand the importance of these points in the context of the role. However, expecting candidates to deliver a polished solution with such time constraints felt impractical. While I was genuinely excited about the opportunity at Deel, the unrealistic demands of the assessments made me question the company's approach to hiring. It felt like a waste of my time, especially considering the feedback indicated a far more extensive time commitment than initially communicated.
