So many red flags!! I had a recruiter reach out to me about a role and then they followed up to say the role is no longer available. I asked them to connect me with the recruiter for another role that I was interested in, but crickets, nothing, what would’ve they lost if he connected me with the recruiter.. aren’t all of them working towards the same goal?! Anyways, I ended up applying by myself and the recruiter reached out to me. I had a good conversation with him and then I moved through the chain of interviews, I ticked every box, I got positive feedback from the interviewers. The recruiter also provided great feedback and he said there is another candidate in the pipeline but they lack cloud experience, which makes you our strongest candidate. The recruiter then left me hanging for 3 weeks with minimal communication, then he sent an email saying no, they aren’t going to move forward. No reasoning, nothing, after I was convinced that I had the job in my pocket!! He didn’t even bother to give me a phone call!!
