Their recruiter reached out on linkedin. I applied and heard back from them a week later. It sounds like they have a lot of applications. Zoom interviews with the team took about 2 weeks, several rescheduling requests were sent. It took them another 2 weeks to make a decision. I really wish I had som indication of how I was doing. The recruiter did check in and clearly buying time for other interviews. I felt like a backup but I had high hopes. I guess in the end I was a backup or just didn't meet their needs. It was really disappointing to get rejected as I check all the boxes on their job description. I was also very nervous but who isn't? The rejection email was not great - saying that they picked someone with more domain experience. Then why did you reach out to me knowing I don't have domain experience? That was irritating. This was a tough call between a positive experience and neutral. I don't think they should have reached out to me knowing that I don't have domain experience? Why waste my time and emotions. All in all they were nice and professional, and I would have accepted their offer, so that means it was more positive.
