I was contacted by a recruiter at DraftKings regarding a role I had applied for. They seemed interested and asked to schedule a call. I promptly shared my availability, but never received a follow-up or any response after that.
In today’s job market, where candidates are already navigating a tough landscape, this kind of communication breakdown is unacceptable. If the role was filled or they decided to move in a different direction, a simple message would have sufficed. Ghosting a candidate you reached out to first is not only unprofessional but also reflects poorly on the company’s brand.
Recruiters have a responsibility to communicate. I’m sharing this experience so that other candidates can go in with eyes wide open. We need to normalize calling out these poor practices to create a more transparent and respectful hiring process.

It was easy 3 rounds 1st with screening, then you met hiring manager and then you get to meet internal team members. Were flexible with schedules and very conversational. 10/10 experience
