I was contacted by a Dropbox recruiter for a screening. Prior to screening I asked for more information on salary range and benefits. The job description only listed US (Colorado) salaries and US benefits - I was looking for Canadian info. I was told that they ONLY publish salaries for Colorado because it is a legal requirement (voluntary transparency be damned, am I right?!), and that they will not share salary info over email (but were willing to talk about it on the phone). I provided my availability and never heard back - other than a "we will not be proceeding" generic email. It's safe to assume they didn't like me asking for pay transparency since they didn't want to chat anymore. For a company that prides itself in having ERGs (as posted in their job descriptions) and supporting diversity, Dropbox should voluntarily disclose pay ranges or at least oblige and not waste candidates' time- statistically and historically, hiding salary info puts women and the BIPOC community at a disadvantage.

A lengthy process with several rounds of interviews. Initially, the process moved quickly, but then it took almost a month to get confirmation that they were not going to give me an offer.
