I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Dun & Bradstreet (Short Hills, NJ) in Aug 2021
Interview
The interview process was great, I received a call a senior human resource manager and this call would gauge my overall interest in the role/company and lay out a projected timeline. I would then do three more interviews with the department's engineer lead, two senior engineers and the director of engineering respectively. These interviews tested my knowledge, background and overall personality to see if I would make for a good fit. The best part of each interview was connecting with these people and having truly good conversations with, much better than the stressed induced interviews I had come to know from other companies.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
In the first interview I was asked general best coding practices, working with databases, records and was asked to whiteboard some SQL queries. INNER JOINS, COUNTS and Aliasing. My second interview I was asked about more specific database migration questions, working with APIs and solved a string parse question followed by a "count the occurrence" question. Something similar to an easy to medium LeetCode question. Lastly I walked with the director were I had to answer questions regarding my resume.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Dun & Bradstreet
Interview
Somewhat disappointing experience. Interviewer seemed disinterested and did not engage much. Spent most of his time replying to emails and IMs on his laptop. Overly technical interviewer asked about specific data structures and sorting algorithms, but would not provide any additional information or context on the use-case which it would be applied to, or what problem it was attempting to solve.
You start with an initial phone screen with recruiter.
Then you move forwards to the Tech interview with 2 engineers.
The last interview is the Behavioral & Culture Fit interview with Hiring Manager or Director.
Offer extended.

Question 1
Q: Live coding challenge where I had to create some react components and make them communicate with each other. Not that difficult but they provide you with starter boilerplate which was kinda junky for what the exercise is trying to prove.
